Amazon EU · Country Market Access

Manage packaging EPR by destination country

Keep registrations, coverage and next actions together for each destination. The packaging pilot covers Germany, Austria, France, Italy and Spain, grouping missing requirements before you drill into affected listings.

Packaging pilot · five countries

Work from the country requirement to the affected listings.

01

Confirm destinations

Record delivery exposure per storefront and country. Missing information stays unknown; Amazon.de does not automatically mean Germany only.

02

Answer the questions

Record establishment and packaging facts, then run an EPR assessment. Unclear or unsupported cases stay open for review.

03

Resolve root actions

See the missing registration, representative or system requirement, why it appears and how many listings it affects.

04

Record and reassess

Follow the country checklist, attach the required evidence and reassess. Older assessments remain in the history.

Reusable records

Keep registrations and coverage tied to their country.

Record the holder, country, scheme, identifier and validity of a registration, then review what it covers: selected products, a brand or an explicitly confirmed whole catalog. A German registration cannot cover Austria in ComplyShelf.

A saved number is recorded, not independently verified. A number with unknown or unreviewed coverage does not make products ready. Keep representative mandates, system records and supporting evidence with the country and scheme they concern.

Example: an Amazon.de seller records German packaging coverage and confirms delivery to Austria. Country Market Access keeps the Austrian packaging actions separate and shows their affected listings. It does not duplicate the same missing representative task on every SKU.

Choose a path supported by the country pack

Record existing registration or mandate evidence, work through the setup checklist, seek expert review or choose a market exit. Steps requiring evidence stay incomplete without it. Supplier or upstream coverage is not offered in this pilot.

A recorded decision

Stop selling to a country only after you apply the restriction.

You can record a whole storefront × destination market exit. A draft does not disable anything. The owner must confirm the scope, effective date and reason, and confirm that the restriction has been applied in Seller Central.

At the effective date, the confirmed decision marks future market access disabled in ComplyShelf. Reassessment reflects that decision while preserving past assessments, actions and reporting periods. It does not erase historical obligations or change Amazon’s delivery settings.

Partial product-level exits are outside the pilot. Before confirming, review all listings affected by that storefront and destination, not just those in the action that led you here.

Separate records, clear scope

Evidence readiness and Amazon status answer different questions.

Record Amazon submission and verification status manually, alongside registration evidence. An Amazon status alone does not change the country readiness result. Reporting periods and quantities can also be recorded manually; ComplyShelf does not file reports, calculate exact fees or pay providers.

The pilot covers packaging in Germany, Austria, France, Italy and Spain. Other countries, batteries, WEEE and digital product passports are outside this pilot. It does not determine your legal status, verify a live registry automatically, register your business or appoint a representative for you.

Amazon’s current DE/AT packaging EPR expectations remain unconfirmed; available reports are secondary. Check Seller Central for your destinations, requested evidence and current status. No Amazon acceptance outcome is implied by a ComplyShelf record.

If records, catalog inputs or validity dates change, the assessment can be marked stale. Run a new assessment before relying on its current action list.

Read the Germany and Austria packaging EPR checklist for those country steps and transition dates.

Country sources behind the packaging pilot.

The Germany and Austria checks use VerpackDG (§§ 5–7 and § 68) and Austria’s VVO 2014 (§ 8 and § 16b). The France, Italy and Spain extension uses ADEME’s IDU guidance, D.Lgs. 152/2006 (Articles 218 and 221), Real Decreto 1055/2022, and PPWR (Articles 3(1)(15)(d), 44 and 45(3)–(4)). FAQ

Using Country Market Access.

Which countries and schemes does the pilot cover?

Packaging in Germany, Austria, France, Italy and Spain. It does not offer full EU coverage or battery and WEEE country checks.

Can one registration cover my whole catalog?

You can explicitly record whole-catalog coverage within that registration’s country and scheme, subject to coverage review. The record cannot extend a German registration to Austria.

Does choosing a market exit turn off Austrian delivery on Amazon?

No. You apply the restriction in Seller Central first. An owner then confirms the whole storefront × destination scope, effective date and reason in ComplyShelf.

Does recording an Amazon status settle country readiness?

No. Marketplace status and operational evidence readiness are separate. Recording the former does not change the latter by itself.
